Scope and Contents This collection contains an audio tape, personal letters, legal notices, bills of health, and bank receipts dating from 1890 to roughly 1924. Most of the personal letters are to Mrs. L. Covington from her daughter Sarah and son-in-law, Mr. H.T. Temme concerning their personal life, marriage and Sarah's schooling. Ingraham-Tucker Collection

The bulk of the collection consists of letters between Francis H. Tucker ("Hal") and his wife Elcee Rosina Ingraham Tucker ("Rosa"); and Ingraham family land records and tax statements for property in Angelina and Cherokee counties. There are also a few letters from family, friends, and business associates. Other materials in the collection include telegrams, wedding invitations, and a locket of Rosa Tucker's hair in one of her letters to her husband.

Missoura Garrett Price Papers

Scope and Contents

The collection includes business and personal correspondence, especially from Missoura's daughter Mintie who lived in Mexico and Columbia while her husband worked for the Texas Company (now Texaco). Other items of note are corporate records of the Garrison Coal and Oil Company, and correspondence on the genealogy of the Truitt and Garrett families. The collection also contains Mrs. Price's household notebooks and other writings, photographs, and personal memorabilia.

Scope and Contents Most of the collection consists of papers of Elijah and Temperence Price, but there are also papers relating to the Blount & Price mercantile business, George Fulton Crocket and his family, and S[tephen] W[illiam] Blount & Co., all of San Augustine. Crocket and Blount, along with Travis Gustavus Broocks and Mathew Cartwright, jointly operated a steam mill near San Augustine which appears to have had facilities for sawing lumber and grinding grain.
